The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on de-monopolization, support of competition and entrepreneurship is a state authority that conducts policy in the spheres of fostering competitive environment, curbing monopolistic behavior and regulation of activities of natural monopolies, reorganization of insolvent enterprises, providing development and support of competition and private entrepreneurship, consumer rights protection, and advertising activity.
The management of the Committee is carried out by Chairman, who has three deputies, including one first deputy chairman. The headquarters of the Committee are located in Tashkent. Regional bodies of the State Committee are Regional Departments on de-monopolization, support of competition and entrepreneurship in the regions, city of Tashkent and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The headquarters and its regional departments are financed from the state budget.
