Normative - legal framework of activity

Ministry for Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been established by Presidential Decree "On  improvement of management system in foreign economic and trade relations, attracting foreign investment" from  July 21, 2005 

Main functions and rights

In accordance with Presidential Decree  main objectives of the Ministry are as follows:

• Ensure realization of state policy in sphere of external economic activity, export stimulation, attracting investments, foreign trade liberalization, enlargement and strengthening of foreign trade relations;
• Implementation of world goods (capitals, services) markets complex marketing researches, providing deep analysis of internal and external marketing outlets station and development forecasts, taking into account their availability and efficiency, elaboration and realization of measures aimed on establishment of long-term, stable trade relations with foreign partners;
• Elaboration and implementation of practical measures on development and rising economy's competitiveness and its integration in world economy, assistance in republican export potential development program realization; securing rights and interests of national participants of foreign trade activity;
• Improving development of economic and financial cooperation of the Republic of Uzbekistan with foreign states, international financial institutions and other international entities on mutually beneficial base;
• Assistance in forming of favorable investment climate and attracting foreign investments, projects monitoring and rendering necessary informational support to foreign investors.
