The main tasks of the SPC:

• Carrying out measures aimed at reducing of state share and cardinal increase of role and significance of private sector in the economy of republic;

• Development and realization of denationalization and privatization processes that stimulate development of market mechanisms, formation of competitive environment and growth of private ownership in the sphere of production and services;

• Attraction of foreign investments to privatization processes of state owned objects, conducting broad explanatory works among investors on given privileges and guaranties, provision of maximal simplification and transparency of the privatization procedures;

• Assistance in improving of corporate governance in privatized enterprises, rendering postprivatization support to enterprises;

• Monitoring the activity of management companies and state trustees in postprivatization period for safe keeping and effective management of state property on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and abroad;

• Continuous monitoring of protection of rights and interests of private entrepreneurship, small and medium business by development and realization of the programs on support and development of small and medium businesses, and assisting in formation of the class of owners, development of market infrastructure, simplification of the access for entrepreneurs to material and technical resources, development of training and retraining system for entrepreneurs;

• Development of stock exchange market, including secondary market, creation of necessary conditions for strengthening its infrastructure, broad use of modern financial instruments, integration of domestic stock market to the international capital markets.
